The Bible tells us in the book of Isaiah that God called king Cyrus, the king of Persia, ‘His anointed’. Why does God call this heathen king ‘His anointed’? We can find three reasons that were given for this special favor to this godless king. But what can we learn from this story today?

When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions. After she had spoken with him, she said: “...I had not heard the half of it.” If we can put together this picture and put ourselves in the position of this queen we will become the recipients of the desires of our hearts. What do you want God to do for you?

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a theological discourse. But it is a Person. Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life.” Whatever your need is, Jesus is the answer to your problem! He is the living Christ and He can do for you what you can not do for yourself.

The third key that unlocks the book of Acts is: the Holy Spirit. We can read here how the Holy Spirit gives evidence through His power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the anointing that God gives us so He can bring forth the evidence and testimony. God also wants to give you a precious treasure, which is not replaceable by anything in this world: the Holy Spirit. You only need to ask!

Look to Jesus for everything. If we keep our eyes on Him everything else falls in place.

God was willing to reduce Himself so that our redemption could be complete. If we believe that Jesus was God incarnate, we can believe that God can live in us.

The devil throws up barriers in your walk of faith with God. How do we overcome these barriers? The devil will tell you that your failure is final and fatal. But God tells us through His Word that by our faith, He gives us courage to know that you are never defeated until you give up. God never intended for you, or any of His children, to be overcome by the devil. But to be an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of our testimony.

God’s will for you is to be born into His family by salvation. This is called the redemption plan. All we need to do is accept Jesus and all of His blessings are ours.

A man named Jairus, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with Him to come to his house because his only daughter, was dying. As Jesus was on His way, someone of the ruler’s house came and told them that Jairus’ daughter was dead. Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.” The devil knows when to come around to cause fear to come up in to your heart to doubt the promise of God and to tell you it’s too late to receive a miracle. But God has already provided for you, all you have to do is reach out and take it, and He will give you the desire of your heart.

God has given a measure of faith to every individual. Faith can be seen. But how can we put our faith to work? The Bible says that faith without work is dead. When you speak the Word, faith will come alive and revitalize you until you are ready to receive the promise of God and claim it for yourself.
